Cup Day!

A few weeks ago, I posted an entry to my Blog that I had managed to get some scrapbooking done! Like most of my pages, I needed to get the journalling done before I could consider the page 'complete'!

Happy to say, I have 1 of the 2-page 12x12 layouts done!

New Club Forming - Who Wants The NEW Spring/Summer Collection Catalogue For FREE??

Who wouldn't??

As I wrap up 1 awesome club - from the Fall/Winter Collection Catalogue - I'm looking to form another one (or two) that will run from Jan-June '08.

This is a shorter commitment than some of my other clubs that have run 10 months (or longer) so you don't have to worry too far ahead to be a part of this club!

What is a Stampers Club?

The club is a FUN and EASY way to order some stamping or scrapbooking supplies over a 6-month duration, rather than fork out the expense all at once. The club is made up of 6 members (who may, or may not know each other), each of which will take their turn to be a Hostess and collect FREE stuff! YOU have a say in which month you get so that it works best for you! Each club member is asked to spend $40 before shipping & taxes each month and can use that order to select ANY products from the current catalogues - including Stampin' Up! promotions when they are announced!!

Club members will receive the Spring/Summer Collection Catalogue as a FREE gift for joining and are guarenteed to receive at least 1 Hostess Exclusive reward (stamp set/simply scrappin' kit etc) PLUS a minimum of $20 worth of Stampin' Up! products of your choice! And it only goes up from there!

Here are some of the other features of being a club member:
  • Advance notice/booking time for classes or events
  • Free admission to a monthly club night
  • NEW for Jan-Jun - club members will receive a 10% discount off their order during their Hostess Club Month!!! Think of all the $$ you'll save PLUS earning free stuff!!!
  • Flexible & convenient payment options - You can place your order by email/phone or in person - You never need to pay for your order until it arrives and I accept Visa, MC, Cash or Cheques
I have 2 interested club members for Jan-Jun '08 already so be sure to let me know if you are interested in 1 of the 4 remaining spots! lisaburns@rogers.com

Basic Grey Is Anything But Basic!

I have fallen in love with the new Basic Grey colour (introduced in the Fall Winter Collection Catalogue)...

Here are 2 projects, specifically designed for a very special friend who had a home party tonite! I kept the scrapbook page pretty basic - but that's how I like to scrapbook pages so nothing new there. The colouring in the picture makes the page look blue...but it is in fact Basic Grey. My inspiration for the card came from something "Chat aka nitestamper on SCS" created but I changed the stamp set used and the layout slightly!

Everyone that attended the party tonite made both of these projects! Hope you enjoyed them ladies!

A Few More Samples - A Few More Spots Open For This Saturday's Holiday Gift Class!

Just a quick post tonight with a few samples I recently made as well as a reminder about my Holiday Gift Ideas Class this Saturday! The sample above was made especially for my 'all grown up' nephew Jake who celebrated his birthday this past Friday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAKE!

I used Always Artichoke, Not Quite Navy and Confetti White Cardstock & Ink and my new set "All In A Row" as well as the "Happy Everything" set and the retired "Toy Box" stamp set.

There is still time to register for Saturday's class if you've found an opening in your schedule! What better way to start your weekend than to STAMP! I have about 4 spots left open so if you are interested - email me at lisaburns@rogers.com.

The 2nd sample below uses the very popular True Friend stamp set - REMEMBER - it's only available until Nov 30th and there is FREE shipping right now!

Cardstock - Mellow Moss, Really Rust, Choc Chip and Vanilla.
Ink - same colours using Stampin' Write Markers
Accessories - Wide Gingham Ribbon - Choc Chip and non-SU! eyelets (ssshhhh)

My First Attempt At Frame Art

So, I picked up these awesome picture frames at Costco awhile ago and I knew that I likely wouldn't fill them all with photos! Over the weekend, I developed some pictures of Evan at the beach this past summer and decided they would make the perfect layout for this 5-picture frame. The only challenge left - what to do with the 5x7 5th frame...

Here's what I came up with:

I wanted to keep it simple, not too boyish but something I could put on any wall in the house! I love these pictures of Evan (not sure if they will all turn out ok here thanks to the flash) - it was so nice to sit in the sand and watch him tossing stones for hours! So relaxing for Mom & Dad!

Thanks for stopping by tonight - feel free to leave a comment and let me know what you think!

How Much Can I Save With The SU! Promo's This Month?

What a great question! Here's the answer:

The regular price of buying 4 packages of Designer Paper ($13.50 each) plus shipping, plus taxes would normally be $67.72

BUT, because of the promotion this month (Buy 3 Get 1 Free) AND the FREE SHIPPING promo from Nov 5 - Nov 30, you would only end up paying $46.17!

THAT'S A SAVINGS OF $21.55!!!!

The Designer Paper is amazing! You could even consider splitting the deal with a friend since you get 12 - 12x12 sheets - 2 of each of 6 double-sided designs! Acid & lignin free!
Here are a few samples using our awesome Designer Paper! The 12x12 scrapbook layout was again, compliments of Cheri who so brilliantly used the Creepy Crawly Designer Paper to make her double-page layout border! What a cool way to use the natural lines of the paper eh! Feel free to leave Cheri a comment here on her creativity! Thanks for letting me share Cheri!

The 2nd sample card uses the Prints Designer Series Papers found on page 173 (or click here to view). The Print Series is available in 16 of our most popular colours and qualifies under the promotion in November as well (Buy 3 Get 1 Free). I used Chocolate Chip Cardstock and then layered the Rose Red Prints Series DP and then simply stamped on the designer paper in Chocolate Chip ink. I used only 1 set - the Holiday set Peaceful Wishes!

Thanks for stopping by tonite. Tune in tomorrow when I will post some NEW LOWER prices for Accessory Shares!

You've Been SOOOO Patient!

Finally, I has some good stampin' time this weekend to play in my craft room!

I think I will post a few samples each day rather than all at once - plus I have some new scrapbook layouts to show you so hopefully you'll keep coming back each day to see what's new.

Here are the first couple of cards - 2 of which my good friend, and very talented stamper 'Cheri' created! Cheri was actually the reason why I was introduced to Stampin' Up! almost 4 years ago so I'm so thankful that we still spend time to stamp together with very busy lifestyles!

The next set of cards were made using the 'So Much' stamp set that Stampin' Up! gave us at the Hamilton Regionals earlier this year! I was very impressed with the ease at which this set allows you to pull together more 'generic-type' cards in a pinch!

Stamps: So Much, Sincere Salutations
Cardstock: Kraft, Ruby Red, Mellow Moss, White
Ink: Ruby Red, Always Artichoke
Accessories: Antique Brass Jumbo Eyelets (LOVE THESE)!, Stampin' Dimensionals

Projects for Monday's Winter Stamp-A-Stack!

Sorry I've been MIA for a few days - I seem to have been out of the house more than I have been in it lately! HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY BRIENNA (my niece)!

Here are the projects we will be working on Monday night - 6 cards total - 3 of each card shown. The class is now full with 2 ladies on the waiting list so I will see what I can do to book another date in the near future! Carolynn - thanks for the camera tip today! Let me know if these samples look better this time around!

The Eggplant card is my own creation (yup - shocked me too :o) and the other card was CASE'd from Angie Kennedy Juda's blog!
