Simply Scrappin' Kit Class - Thursday October 28th !

If you've wondered what these kits contain, or the projects you can create with them - this class is for you!

We will be focusing on Holiday cards Thursday night, with the help of the Christmas Cheer Simply Scrappin' Kit shown below. There's still room for you to join the fun! Email me before 9pm Wednesday night at lisaburns@rogers.com.

With my camera still out-of-commission, I'm not able to show any of the projects I've been working on lately - which makes me really sad becuase I've been very, very busy! But, if you've been to a recent class, you know that I've been displaying all of my projects for you to see while you're here. If you're coming by for an upcoming class, be sure to bring your camera and take as many pictures as you wish!!

In light of my current situation (no camera = no pictures to show), I've decided to post a few pictures from my Simply Scrappin' Class from last year so that at least you can get an idea of what you'll be missing if you don't join us Thursday night - lol!! Enjoy!
The class fee is just $30 and you'll leave with all class materials + the Christmas Cheer SS Kit
The value of the kit alone is $31.00 after shipping & taxes so you're getting both the class & the kit for cheaper than what it would cost you to buy the kit on it's own!
Note - you will be using the contents of your own kit and leaving the class with lots of left over contents!

Welcome Elise!

I'm so excited to share the name of a new Team Burns team member... Elise Francis! I've known Elise for a few years now and she's such a fun person to be around. I'm thrilled that she's made the choice to invest in the Starter Kit, and the Stampin' Up! journey :o)

Not only that... but Elise earned the Greenhouse Gala Tote AND the Eat Chocolate stamp set for FREE because she purchased her kit before October 10th!

Although the Eat Chocolate (Regional) promotion is now over - there's still a bit of time to get in on the FREE Gala Tote!

Join my team before October 18th (or while supplies last) and a tote is yours!

Here are a few more samples made using the Eat Chocolate stamp set (to be featured in the upcoming Occasions Mini)!

Day 2 at the Fair!

Another beautiful day at the Dorchester Fair and there was lots going on...

More Monster Truck / Derby events, a talent show and of course rides, food and vendors!

It was a long day for me, but a great one! I spent the day at the Fair showing friends some stampin' tricks and once that was over I rushed home, dressed into something warm and drove across the border to Port Huron to meet up with my family and some friends for Thanksgiving dinner! Couldn't stay the night because I'm off again tomorrow morning for the final day of the Fair, but it was sooo worth the drive! What a great meal!!

Tomorrow is a holiday - Thanksgiving Monday for most Canadians! I hope you celebrate the day off with family & friends, enjoying lots of great food, activities and memories!

If you find yourself looking for a fun family activity to do together, the Dorchester Fair is open Monday from 10-4pm! There's even a FREE pancake breakfast in the Donnybrook building starting at 10am!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

Dorchester Fair!

Day 1 at the local Dorchester Fall Fair is complete - and what a fantastic day it was! Lots of sunshine & friends & fun for everyone!

Thank you to all who stopped by my table...I was thrilled to chat with so many of you, both those that I've known for awhile now as well as those that are now new friends! Welcome to my blog and to Stampin' Up!!

Just a quick reminder today that the Clearance Rack items are still available - albeit, going fast. Be sure to go online to check for the most current availability. A tip for you... click on the item you are looking to order and if it shows you product details it is likely still available to order. I tried to order the Ballet Blue ink pad the other day and while the picture is still showing on the website, the item had sold out so I just wanted to note that you really aren't guarenteed the product until you've 'checked out' and the order is finalized. Hope that helps!

I would love to be able to share some pictures of the Fair today...but I still have a broken camera so words will have to do. Come on out and see me this weekend - the kids activities are in the same building as we are (the Donnybrook building) so you can settle them into face painting, or pumpkin decorating and then pop by to see me :o)

I have free gifts for all catalogue orders placed at the Fair!

Have a great day everyone! Thanks for stopping by!

On Board Art Journal

These art journals are a lot of fun! They are often overlooked in the catalogue but they actually can make really nice mini scrapbooks, or gifts to record memories or activities. They come in 2 sizes: a 5x5 book shown in this post, and a book size 5 3/4 x 8 3/4! Both come 'bare' with chipboard on the outsides and Very Vanilla cardstock as the pages so that you can decorate as you wish!

My sample was made for my Mom! I remember growing up and watching my Mom as she 'wrote' things. She's always had such nice penmenship and took time to teach us the importance of this also. So, I created something that she could jott down daily things for my son as a keepsake. Little things that she enjoys day-to-day, like her garden or times that she's spent with us/Evan. I really wanted to have her capture those things in her words, and in her handwriting.

I know it will be something we will treasure forever!

I haven't forgotten about you...

I just don't have a working camera to post new pictures right now, which is a shame really because I've been creating like a mad-woman and want to share with you!!

I'm hopeful I will have a working camera by the weekend!

For now, I'll continue to post some updates in text and include stored pictures where I can. Thanks for your patience while I work through this :o)
