New Display Board - Lots Of Work BUT Well Worth It!

So...

I offered to bring a Display Board to our recent Razzle Dazzle Event last weekend - it was the least I could do since I couldn't commit to being a part of the planning committe. I typically change my board Quarterly so that time was quickly approaching anyway but I just didn't quite feel ready for Fall/Winter projects yet...

So, I challenged myself to update the board with late summer, and new 2010 In Color projects instead. Yes - this will mean that I need to update it once again in another month or so, but that's ok - after all, I have ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD TO DO THIS! That's funny eh :o)

If you attend my classes, clubs or events regularly, you'll see this up close & personal on your next visit but if not, I hope the board inspires you to pull out your craft supplies and make a card for someone, or a new scrapbook page! Go ahead and copy - that's what they are there for :o)

I'm back with Twinkle Tuesdays... sorry about missing last week - but VACATION called and I needed to answer!

This week, I'm delighted to share one of the Make n' Take projects we made at the Razzle Dazzle Event held this past weekend!

This is the project I ran home to recreate and prepare an upcoming class for! I JUST LOVE IT and I want to share it with you...so in addition to the project today, I'm sharing one of my September classes in advance, which will provide YOU an opportunity to come out and make one of these for yourself. Stamp Camp - Scrapbook In A Box!
Monday September 14, 2009 - 700-830pm

Come on out and learn how to make a fun Scrapbook In A Box using the amazing & versatile Simply Scrappin Kits! Guests will have an option to choose from either a 'Holiday/Christmas' theme or a 'Boy' theme. Projects will be suitable to bring home to insert pictures after the class (ie no photos needed to attend). Full demonstration will be provided plus guests will leave with printed instructions on how to recreate the project again at home! Snail Adhesive (or alternative tape runner) is required for this class. Contact me in advance of the class and I can order one for you :o)

Razzle Dazzle Event!

As promised - here are some highlights from Saturday's Razzle Dazzle Event in London!!

The day was filled with great fun, friends, laughter and of course tons & tons of stamping & creative ideas! I love attending these events for a number of reasons...1) I get to see all the great friends I've met by being part of the SU! world 2) I get to learn new stuff and see a million project ideas that I NEVER would have been able to think up myself (lol) and 3) I get re-inspired each and every time I leave a meeting! I would have loved to help out as part of the organizing committee for this event however due to the timing of the event and our family vacation, it wasn't feasible BUT I did work hard to update my Display Board so that other demo's could benefit from some fresh new ideas! I will share a picture of my display board in one of my posts this week - stay tuned for that!

Today, I thought I would share the Make n' Take we got to work on throughout different parts of the day! They were so much fun to put together and each one of them will be finding their way into my upcoming September class schedule!!

Stampers Club & Team Burns Projects!

Happy Saturday everyone!

Today I attended a 'Razzle Dazzle Extravaganza' event put on by my upline Alicia and her fabulous team of organizers! I wasn't sure I was going to be able to attend this event due to our vacation plans but I'm so glad I ended up registering as I learned a ton and had a great time with other local demonstrators - including 5 other members of Team Burns!

More to come on this event and the projects we got to make in my upcoming posts!!

Today I wanted to show you what my Stampers 6 & my Team Burns members got to work on this month! You've seen this box in a number of my previous blog postings but as I polled my Club gals & team members, it was clear that there was an interest in walking through the steps on how to make this project - so we did! I found this box template on SCS and began working with the 2010 In Colors to create lots of different options for my guests this month!

The box and the little coordinating note cards were a big hit with the girls!!

Back From Algonquin Park!

We had a really nice time up in Algonquin Park this past week! The weather was up & down but I think everyone has come to expect that this summer - we made the most of the weather while it was good!

Last year was our first camping trip that far up North, and it was definitely a great experience so off we went again this year. My DH picked a different campground than last and struck gold with an amazing site, lots of space for Evan to safely roam and ride his bike (although I'm certainly glad I brought the extra box of bandaides!! Boys... I tell ya *sigh*!!

I will get into some stampin' projects over the next couple of posts (I managed to get some stamping time this year camping!!!!) but for now I'll share a few pictures from our trip! If you like camping, or the outdoors, or adventure - you should make a trip to Algonquin Park! Lots to see & do for all ages!!

Scrapbooking With Single Pictures

I have a tons of single pictures that I've struggled to use because they just don't fill up a 12x12 scrapbook page very well (lol)!

Most scrapbooker will tell you to take double the pictures (6-8) you might want on a scrapbook page so that you have lots of options! I've always followed this advice but much to my disappointment, my crappy camera often left me with just 1-2 good pictures, not worthy enough in quality to land on a scrapbook page! I always thought it was the photographer (me) and never wanted to blame the camera but after having my new camera since Christmas, and taken 0 photography lessons - I can now fairly say it was my 'crappy camera' to blame - lol!

As a result, I ended up with so many single pictures that I couldn't figure out what to do with them until a friend of mine (Hi Angie!) shared her 6x6 album of her kids with me. Angie enjoys making these 6x6 pages/albums because they are a little easier for her kids to enjoy and share with friends!

What a fabulous idea! I now have a better use for more of my single pictures while creating wonderful albums for Evan to enjoy with friends & family!

Scrappers Club!

Love scrapbooking but need some help with layout ideas?
