I LOVE this stamp set...
It's called Elements of Style and it is so beautiful to work with. For my card sample today, I used Stampin' Write markers directly on the stamp image.

I can't take credit for this card layout idea... it was one that I found on our demonstrator resource site. I changed the color scheme up a bit for my clubber gals but other than that, it was a straight copy!!
The card uses the Perfect Plum & Whisper White color combination as well as the new Silver Glitter paper! Love that stuff!! You really must see this card in person as the picture doesn't do it justice!
Thanks for stopping by today!

November Club Projects!
November marks the end of the Holiday Club ... sort of! I'm offering a bonus class for these ladies in early December so if you want to make a Holiday project and would like to to learn more about my next club opportunity - email me and I'll send you more details!
This was the first of 2 different cards we made in November. Using fabric on my cards is not common for me but I liked the effect on these ones. We finished each card with some embellishments (Pearls) or some of the new Dazzling Details accessory.
I'll be back later this week with the second holiday card we made in November. It is my favorite card of the year - so far!!

More August Holiday Club Samples
This card has multiple dimensions but it doesn't use very much cardstock so it's a nice one to duplicate. It also comes together pretty quickly because of the use of punches!
The sample on display during the club event was made using the colors Whisper White, Old Olive, Certainly Celery and Pretty In Pink however not everyone likes 'pink' for Christmas, so the girls had the option to change the ornament and saying color to something else. Shown today are samples in pink and yellow! Inspiration for this card came from our Stampin' Connection showcase of samples - a handy perk for demo's only!! Thanks to Melissa D for the card idea!
These samples use the stamp set 'Contempo Christmas'. I used the images in this set for all stamping on this card, including the certainly celery piece!! We used the Scallop Trim Edge punch & some sponging to spruce up the green cardstock. I also used the 2 1/2 " circle & Ornament Punches for this card.

August Holiday Club Projects!
Making this size card base (6 1/2 x 6 3/4) however, created a bit of left over cardstock so I decided to make the 2nd club card one that would use up some of those Cherry Cobbler leftovers! Here's what I came up with:
These cards focused on the embossing technique and the use of glitter on your card front.
More club samples coming this week! Check back often. Until then, here's a close up of the card front saying with the chunky gold glitter! Love this product!!

Snow Much Fun!
The stamp set used is from the new 2012 IB&C and it is sure to be a crowd favorite for holiday cards and holiday scrapbooking! The card inspiration, once again, came from our demo website Stampers Showecase but the bag I created all on my own (lol)! I used the new 'Starburst' jumbo wheel and the chubby snowman from the 'Snow Much Fun' stamp set!
Here is the 'Snow Much Fun' stamp set, available in both Clear & Wood Mounted options:
Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the beautiful weather in Southwestern Ontario!!

I'm excited to share the first card project we will be completing at the July Holiday Club event tomorrow morning! Anyhow, the stamp set used to make this card (Delicate Doilies) has taken me by surprise a bit...This is one of those sets that you may look at and think "pretty general, will I ever use it". OMG... will you ever use it! It is amazing and I can't wait to show you all of the wonderful samples and the vast uses for this set! Stay tuned!

September Holiday Club Cards - Post 2
I do like how these cards use a color combination that might not be considered typical for Christmas - Cajun Craze, Not Quite Navy & Crumb Cake. Gives them that unique feel.
These cards allowed the girls to play around with the Eyelet Border Punch, some of the new Vintage Ribbon and Designer Buttons, as well as the new Champagne Glass Glitter from the Holiday Mini!
What do you think of these cards - do they feel 'Christmasy' enough? ...leave me a comment :o)

September Holiday Club Projects!
I think I'm getting things back to normal now... Almost caught up from summer vacation at work, Evan's settled at school, my craft room is back to a functional state and Fall sports have begun! Yup - that sounds about normal :o)
Ok, onto some projects! Today I'm sharing two of the 4 cards we made at this month's Holiday Club events! I love this card, particularly because it's simple, but stunning! I found inspiration for this card on our demonstrator gallery 'Stampin' Connection'. Melanie Kiechle's card was made with just 1 color of cardstock plus the vellum - which looked stunning - but I chose to add a color so that I was working the combination of Real Red, Marina Mist & Certainly Celery!
These cards also allowed the gals to try out the new Impression Folder 'Northern Flurry'! Don't forget that this folder will be a part of my upcoming Impressions Preorder Class (Sept 30th). You can find out more about this class by clicking here!
Finally, everyone agreed that these cards, and in particular the snowflakes created with the Impression Folders would not be complete without some embellishing! The girls were invited to bling up their cards with either the Rhinestones or the Pearls! Fun, fun, fun!
Here are the cards individually and up close. First, the Real Red card accented with the Basic Pearls:

And, this is the Marina Mist card, layerd on Certainly Celery and accented with the Basic Rhinestone Jewels:
See you again in a few days when I will share the other 2 cards made at the September Holiday Club events!

When one ends...another begins!
Here are the projects from Sunday night. We focused on a few things during this class, including the use of dies to make other shapes (ie the dress), the use of the new Designer Series Buttons and the Designer Series Paper Stacks!!
The Pacific Point card below used some Cordoury Buttons - not sold in the current 2011 IB&C, but can still be ordered online at a drastically reduced price - up to 60% off!! Check out my online Clearence Rack here and order 24/7!
While the first Big Shot Club/Class focused entirely on cards/bags/boxes, the Fall/Winter Club will take things a step further and include some crafting with materials like fabric, vinyl, cork & metal materials. This will make a fabulous club/class for those with a little or a lot of crafting experience as everything will be demonstrated & explained during the club events!
Email me anytime if you're interested in learning more about the Big Shot Club/Class Combo! I would anticipate a September start to this club/class! lisaburns@rogers.com
Have a great Wednesday everyone!!

August Holiday Club Cards - Post 2!
Happy Tuesday Everyone! I hope you are enjoying this fabulous weather we're having so far this week - we sure are!!
Today, I'm sharing the 2nd card project we worked on during our Holiday Club events this past weekend. Holiday club members got to make 4 cards in total - 2 of this card and 2 of the Holiday Happiness card posted yesterday.
This card uses the classic stamp set 'Lovely As A Tree' as well as one of our single stamps called 'Dasher'! Dasher was very popular last year and it would appear he has not lost any magic over time!!
Although it is very tough to tell by today's photo, this card also allowed the club gals to try their hand at using the new Basic Rhinestone Jewel Accents and some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter - always a fun choice for the holidays!!
There's room for a few guests each month so if you'd like to participate in the September event, send me an email (lisaburns@rogers.com).

July Holiday Club Cards!
You saw the first sample from my July Holiday Club event, earlier this week, using the 'Classic Christmas' stamp set. I'll post those cards again at the bottom of this post ...
Here are the other cards we made in July. As a reminder - these are the cards that are included in my 'Classic Christmas' Holiday Take Out Kit!!!
Here's the 2nd sample we made this past weekend!
There are always a few guest spots open for these Holiday Club events ... pay $5 to come make the projects and see what the clubs are all about (or free if you decide to place an order)! But you have to register early, so start thinking about August ladies!! I promised to order a Holiday stamp set - voted on my the club members - to use during our August events! I'll announce the winner shortly :o)
I wanted to show the girls a card that could be used for a male, during the Holiday Season. This card uses the versatile & fun Snow Swirls stamp set, which has been around for a few years now but continues to be a popular choice for Holiday stampers!!
This is a great card to recreate as it uses just 1 stamp set and a few different colors of ink + 1 embellishment (satin ribbon) and a tool (Mat Pack & Piercer Tool).
Cardstock Colors used include: Always Artichoke, River Rock, Very Vanilla
Ink Colors used include: Always Artichoke, River Rock & So Saffron
Here are the other cards we made in July. As a reminder - these are the cards that are included in my 'Classic Christmas' Holiday Take Out Kit!!!
Enjoy your evening everyone!!

June Holiday Club Projects!
It was a busy start to our weekend with the Big Shot Club on Friday night and our first Holiday Club starting up this AM!! I wasn't sure what it would be like to focus on Christmas cards with the temperatures outside resting around 30 degrees but it turned out to be really fun and actually provide a nice break from the humidity!
Here are the two cards we worked on - each club member got to make 2 of each style for 4 cards. This event is FREE for club members and although the June - November club is FULL, you can still get in on a Holiday club by joining the July - December Holiday Club! Email me as soon as possible if interested as we are trying to finalize the club arrangements prior to July 1st!
Thanks for stopping by - Stay cool!!
