Peace & Joy - Love & Cheer Pages

This was the layout that the 'scrapbookers' got to make at our Create For A Cure event this past weekend! I think our guests liked them - which makes me very, very relieved and happy :o) For those of you that know me - I'm very particular about the quality of projects at my events/classes. It is not uncommon for me to make up 10 different cards for an event and only be happy with 1-2 of them for my guests!
That said, this page actually came together fairly easily for me! I think the reason that was the case was thanks to the super-amazing 'Join In The Cheer' Decorative Strip Die (113452), again, exclusive to Stampin' Up! The girls LOVED the detail with this die and how you could have several options for using the words on your pages (as one big saying, or cut up like my sample).
This was also my first page layout using the 'Frosty Day' Designer Series paper (113057) and I'm lovin' the color combinations!! The colors used here are Tangerine Tango, Chocolate Chip, Bashful Blue and a bit of Kraft. Here are the pages individually:
Thanks for stopping by today!

More Create For A Cure Samples!

Sharing more of the Create For A Cure projects! The card I posted yesterday was one of my favorites! Pink at Christmas time is very unrated - especially when you add in some glitter!!

The Merry Christmas mitten's card uses Kraft, Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip & Vanilla cardstock & ink. The set used is the Scandanivian Season (111774) set (love this set)! I wanted everyone to try out the new Twill Rope in the Holiday mini so that acts as our mitten strings! The card also allowed guests to play around with a coordinting Stampin' Around Wheel - the Scandinavian Wheel (113633)!

The Peace, Love, Joy card uses the SU! Exclusive Top Note Bigz Die (113463) & The Big Shot machine (113439)! The Big Shot was a BIG HIT at our event. There's just something about the feeling when you get perfect die cuts, with such precision that makes you want to cut more!! I used the colors Sahara Sand, Always Artichoke and Mellow Moss cardstock, and all of the same ink colors with the addition of Chocolate Chip for the tree and a touch of Ruby Red (for the little birdie).

I'll share the scrapbook page layout in tomorrow's post!

Create For A Cure!

What a FANTASTIC day we had on Saturday at our first ever Create For A Cure fundraiser! It was a ton of work - but so completely worth it to 1) raise money for a wonderful cause and 2) to see the stamping excitement in the room during the event!

There are a number of people I wanted to formally THANK!

Rebecca Wheeler - you kept this event on track! I completely over-booked myself in October and you eagerly picked up my slack to ensure we were prepared for Saturday! What a team we make! I can't wait to hold another event with you in the Spring!

Forest City Concrete Finishing Ltd - Doug Wheeler - without your generous donation, we would not have been able to raffle off our Grand Prize 'The BIG SHOT' as well as a number of other prizes for our prize table. In addition to this, THANK YOU Doug & Kathryn for helping us set up & take down tables at our event!

TD Canada Trust - was a major sponsor for this event. With the generous donation TD made toward the cause, we were able to pay for the venue, the food and more prizes for our enormous prize table! Did you know that we were able to have 1 prize per guest??? That's 28 prizes PLUS the Big Shot & Dies!!

Stampin' Up! - when our amazing company found out what about our fundraising efforts, they too contributed to our prize table by sending along Stampin' Up! products!!

At the end of it all - together with our event guests, we raised just under $800 for The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation! Next year, I'm sure we'll try to stretch this out by having a goal of $1000 or more! I can't wait!

I Forgot My Blogger Log In Info :o)

Too funny! It's been so long since I posted that I actually had trouble getting in this morning!

I'm back! And although I can't say that the fury of events & activities is over just yet, I'm about mid-way through and seeing the light at the end of the tunnel :o) As much as the past couple of weeks has been very, very busy for me (and I'm tired :o( - I have had a wonderful time at all of my events & workshops. I have made more new friends than I would have ever expected, and I'm well on my way to my personal goals for the months leading up to the Holidays!

So, all-in-all a very productive couple of weeks! I do miss posting to my blog though, so this week one of my goals is to get caught up a bit and share some of the projects I've been working on lately!

The 6x6 pages shown above, were demonstrated at my friend Christine's house last week! 2 of the 3 projects I demo'd used the new BIG SHOT and the look on the faces of the guests at Christine's party was priceless! If you haven't seen the BIG SHOT in use yet - you are truly missing out. Stay tuned for my updated class list for end of October, November and yes into December where I will have a night devoted to the use of the BIG SHOT machine!

Here are the pages up close & personal. I love the ease at which you can make your own die-cuts as well as the fact that you can cut through approx 50 different material types with just a turn of the lever!! Amazing!

I demonstrated to Christine & her guests how I could die-cut up to 7 pieces of cardstock at once, as well as how to use chipboard to create the Maple Leaf die on the 6x6 page on the left! I also used Designer Paper from the new Holiday Mini (Autumn Vine) and Jumbo Outline Alpha letters!!
