Button Buddies Samples Part 3

This set is seriously too much fun to play around with! I can totally understand why it has been so popular thus far since the 2012 IB&C launched!

This is another sample that will be on display Friday, during my Button Buddies stamp camp and another option for guests to make should they choose to focus on card making during the class BUT I actually didn't originally create this card for the class...

This card will find it's way to a special friend who's going through a tough time at the moment. Thinkin' of you L.M.

Here's a picture of the stamp set again! You can order your set online, or by emailing me! You have both the clear & the wooden mount option to choose from!

Button Buddies Samples Part 2

Love snowmen? You'll love this card then!

For this layout, I used the new Designer Frame Impression Embossing Folder (Set of 2 folders) to create the card's focal point. The snowman image from the Button Buddies stamp set fits easily into the center of the impression. I combined the colors Tempting Turquois & Rich Razzleberry to create this 'Brights' sample for Friday night!

Here's a close up of the oval impression...don't you just love it!!??

Part 3 is coming your way tomorrow! Have a great night everyone!

Button Buddies Samples Part 1

So excited for a couple of events this week...

First, some of my Team Burns downline team will be coming over Wednesday night to play around with the Playful Polka Dot Simply Scrappin' Kit! We hope to be very productive in the 1.5hrs we have together and I'm looking forward to some helpful business talk and collaboration of ideas!

The other event I have going on this week is my Button Buddies stamp camp! While registration is now closed for this event, I wanted to share more card samples made specifically for this upcoming class!

Here's a close up of the card. I used the Big Shot to create the Scallop Circle #2 Die and the stripes on the card front! Love the new Stripes impression embossing folder!! I stamped the vase on DSP and then cut it out and popped it up on the image stamped on the vanilla circle. I then used some Bright's Designer Buttons as the flowers for the image.

Be sure to come back tomorrow to see Part 2 of this post! Thanks for stopping by today!!

More August Holiday Club Samples

Here are the final 2 cards we made at the August Holiday Club event!

This card has multiple dimensions but it doesn't use very much cardstock so it's a nice one to duplicate. It also comes together pretty quickly because of the use of punches!

The sample on display during the club event was made using the colors Whisper White, Old Olive, Certainly Celery and Pretty In Pink however not everyone likes 'pink' for Christmas, so the girls had the option to change the ornament and saying color to something else. Shown today are samples in pink and yellow! Inspiration for this card came from our Stampin' Connection showcase of samples - a handy perk for demo's only!! Thanks to Melissa D for the card idea!

These samples use the stamp set 'Contempo Christmas'. I used the images in this set for all stamping on this card, including the certainly celery piece!! We used the Scallop Trim Edge punch & some sponging to spruce up the green cardstock. I also used the 2 1/2 " circle & Ornament Punches for this card.

Enjoy the holiday card samples and thanks so much for stopping by!

August Holiday Club Projects!

Here are the first two cards the gang made during this weekend's Holiday Club event! At the request of one of the club members (thanks for the suggestion Michelle :o), we made a card that is showcased in the current IB&C on Page 43. I love that you can use the IB&C for ideas to get you started with your projects OR just copy as is!

Making this size card base (6 1/2 x 6 3/4) however, created a bit of left over cardstock so I decided to make the 2nd club card one that would use up some of those Cherry Cobbler leftovers! Here's what I came up with:

These cards focused on the embossing technique and the use of glitter on your card front.

More club samples coming this week! Check back often. Until then, here's a close up of the card front saying with the chunky gold glitter! Love this product!!

Introducing... The Blossom Bigz Die!

I was really excited to order the new Blossom Bigz Die and try it out!

I will tell you that it takes some practice...it definitely isn't a good die for a Big Shot beginner but like anything else...the more you make, the easier they get!

And the output? These Blossom Boxes are stunning! They stay together nicely, and they don't require adhesive to close (although you need adhesive to assemble the seam). Because you don't adhese the opening shut, you can re-use the box over and over again!

This die is medium in size so if you don't have a Big Shot, but you have another Sizzix type machine, it is likely going to fit. Click on the picture below to see more product information!

Watch for an upcoming Big Shot class where this new Die will be demonstrated!! Thanks for stopping by today!

Fancy This!

This might be my favorite project from the Simply Scrappin' Kit Playful Polka Dots!

I used the Fancy Favor Bigz die to create the bag to hold the 4 3x3 love notes. Each 3x3 card was decorated using the contents of the Simply Scrappin' Kit and since the kit comes with 3 sheets of coordinating die cuts, I barely used any adhesive!!

Here's a close up of the bag & the cards:

I will have even more Playful Polka Dot samples to share with you over the next week... come back often!

Registration for this class will close on Friday August 12th - register here before that date to secure your spot!

You're an 11!

Another card made using the Simply Scrappin' Kit - Playful Polka Dots! A very simple card that could be duplicated in a number of different colors to use up scraps!

Want to come to my August 23rd class yet :o) More samples are coming your way to convince you to come!

The saying is from a new Hostess Credit set called 'Perfect Words'. This 8 image set would normally retail at a cost of $17.95 for clear or $24.95 for wooden. When you host a home workshop or catalogue party or join a stampers club, you can use Hostess dollars to buy it for just $11 clear or $15 wooden.

The Stampin' Up! hostess program has changed dramatically with the launch of the new 2012 IB&C - watch for another update this week outlining those changes! If you haven't hosted a home party before OR you haven't had one recently...get your calendar out and we'll book a date for you to take full advantage of this new rewarding program!!

There's still room! RSVP here today!

Simply Scrappin' Kit Class: Playful Polka Dot

I had a lot of fun with this kit! I have to say, it was pretty easy to sit down and complete a bunch of projects within a short timeframe, when using it!

The colors are bright, fun and have a real summer fresh feeling to them. The primary colors in the kit are Pumpkin Pie, Daffodill Delight, Old Olive and Rose Red.

Although the kits have 'Scrappin' it their name, the kit contents can absolutely be used to make quick, and stunning cards or other paper projects like boxes, bags etc.

This might be one of my favorite cards made using the Playful Polka Dot kit + a tiny bit of stamping! I would love to hear from blog viewers about your experience with Simply Scrappin' Kits!

Thanks for stopping by today. I'll be back tomorrow with another card, made using the Playful Polka Dot kit!

Another New Class!

I'm on a role ...lol

I'm pleased to announce another new class for August! While this class will have a bit of scrapbooking focus, there is the option to attend for the cardmaking session. I will have 4 spots for scrappers and 4 spots for cardmakers!

When you register for this class, you will receive a Playful Polka Dot Simply Scrappin' Kit to work with on Tuesday August 23rd. I've timed the 6 scrapbook pages to be completed within the 1.5hr class so you'll leave the class feeling accomplished and having all kit contents in hand for further use at home!!

The cost of the class is just $35 which is what it would normally cost you to buy the kit on your own (after shipping & taxes), but by coming to the class, you get the layouts, projects & the instruction for FREE!!!

RSVP by going to my business website. Registration for this class will close on August 12th so mark the date on those calendars and prepare to get some scrappin' done! I will continue to show some project samples close up throughout this week!
