Stamp-A-Stack Sample #3

Here's the last project from my recent HIS/HER stamp-a-stack!

This card uses the stamp set 'And Many Mower' and To The Nines Speciality Designer Paper! It also uses some punches 'Photo Corners Punch' and 'Key Tag Punch'. Similar to the project from Monday, guests that attended this stamp-a-stack got to practise the Blender Pen technique!

On the inside of the card, I stamped the splatter image from the stamp set 'Itty Bitty Backgrounds' using Always Artichoke ink. We also used more of the Specialities DP to make a gift card holder! When you take the gift card out - the saying 'HAPPY FATHER'S DAY is displayed!

I love the size of this card - 6 1/2 x 3 1/4 inches, which fits perfectly inside our Open Ended Envelopes! The one shown here is in Very Vanilla, however SU! only sells the Whisper White now (107286) in the current Spring/Summer IB&C.
Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to check back tomorrow to find out about a special offer for May - exclusively from me to my customers! There will be a million ways to earn ballots for this special May prize - a chance for anyone to win!! I'm so excited to show you!!

Stamp-A-Stack Sample #2

Hi There! Looks like it's shaping up to be a wonderful Monday - at least in terms of weather :o) Thought I would share another sample from my HIS/HER stamp-a-stack this past Friday night. I really like the set 'And Many Mower' from the Occasions Mini!

I actually WON this set during my upline's door prize draw at our last Quarterly Meeting - THANKS ALICIA!! Boy, was that perfect timing for my HIS/HERS class :o)
This card uses Sahara Sand & Chocolate Chip Cardstock as well as some of the Speciality Designer Paper 'To The Nines'. This paper is fantastic for masculine cards, scrapbook pages or any craft project for that special guy in your life!! I also used both star punches, the large star and the small star and layered them together with a Brad. The technique used on the card is done with a Blender Pen.
Don't forget that there is still time to take advantage of the APRIL STAMPIN' UP! Promotion! Pick out anything you want from the $12 & Under page (page 208) in the Spring/Summer IB&C FREE with any $50 order from the Occasions Mini!
Have a great day - be back tomorrow with the next installment of 2 FOR 1 TUESDAYS!!!

Stamp-A-Stack Sample #1

A big THANK YOU to the ladies that made it out Friday night for my HIS/HER stamp-a-stack event! I know the weather was beautiful Friday night so I'm thrilled that you decided to spend the night stamping with the group!!

Here's 1 of the card layouts we worked on - obviously from the HERS side of the event - using the following supplies...
The card base is Basic Grey, with layers of Going Grey and 'A Walk In The Park' (115123) Designer Paper from the Occasions Mini. The butterfly images are from the 'Great Friend' (113792) stamp set and we mixed and matched the colors according to what the girls wanted on their card front...some chose Baja Breeze, some Kiwi Kiss, some chose completed different colors from the Stampin' Up! color family - FUN! The butterflies are popped up using Stampin Dimensionals.
The ribbon used is 5/8 inch White Satin ribbon (114646) from the Occasions Mini. For the samples shown here, I used the Mother's Day image from the All Holidays stamp set from the regular Spring/Summer IB&C.
Hope you like them!

What A Perfect Day

for a post like this...!

It's sunny outside and the temperature is getting warmer...the birds are chirping and it's FRIDAY! Yahoo!
So, in honour of all those things, my post today centers on these adorable little butterfly fridge magnets. I saw some samples at Regionals of flowers & letters, but thought I would try my Bigz Beautiful Butterflies Die and some fresh spring colours and viola! this was the end result! This particular Die is exclusive with Stampin' Up!...meaning you won't find it in any retail craft stores or online!

I added the Rhinestone Brads for some sparkle but they ended serving another purpose in that the Brad(s) actually hold the 2 different sized butterflies together nicely! I've added this project as a BONUS to my Stamp-A-Stack event next Friday April 24th so if you've been thinking about joining in, registration is still open!
Enjoy this bright & sunny Friday everyone! Thanks for stopping by today!

A shout out for new STAMPERS CLUB members!

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

I've received a few emails of late asking me when my next Stamper Club will be starting up so I'm happy to extend an official invitation out for my next club to start in MAY!

What is a Stampers Club?

The Stampers Club is a group of members (typically 6) that meet regularly to learn new card techniques and make projects! This monthly event is absolutely FREE for club members! Each club member places an order once a month of a minimum of $40 (before shipping & taxes) over a 6 month timeframe. Each club member will receive Hostess Exclusive benefits as one of the perks for joining the club. Hostess Benefits include at least a Level 1 Hostess stamp set + a minimum of $20 in free Stampin' Up! merchandise - and it only goes up from there!

Club members order whatever they'd like during their 6 month club membership and you get to take full advantage of any/all Stampin' Up! promotions that occur during that time! Orders can be placed by email, phone or in person at our monthly club events and payment methods include cash, cheque or credit card.

Finally, club members receive exclusive 'club perks' including a gift for joining!

Email me if you are interested in learning more about the Stampers Club starting up in May - lisaburns@rogers.com. Looking forward to stamping with you soon!

The projects shown here were made during our Stampers Club event this past Saturday. Club members were taught how to use Sticky Letters and Chunky Glitter as well as how to make a coordinating envelope liner to match their card project!

Mother's Day & Father's Day Stamp-A-Stack - Friday April 24th

Would you like to have your Mother's Day & Father's Day cards ready to go well in advance of those very special occasions?

If yes, sign up for my Mom/Dad's Day Stamp-A-Stack scheduled for Friday April 24th from 7-9pm. You will learn a few new stamping tricks and make 6 themed cards! All cards will have the option to change the greeting if you wish! There will be 3 feminine type cards and 3 masculine type cards showcased at this SAS...something for everyone!

Email me at lisaburns@rogers.com if you wish to register!

The project shown above is just one of the feminine cards we'll be making on the 24th. Hard to see in the picture but the top layer of cardstock is embossed using the Manhattan Flower Textured Impression Die - guests will get to try out the Big Shot to create this look! I've also used some Vanilla HodgePodge and 5/8 Chocolate Chip Grosgrain ribbon. The stamp set used is called 'Holiday Blitz' and is great for all sorts of different occasions and craft project needs!
Hope you can join us for some stampin' time!

Stampin' Up! April Special!

Did you know that when you order $50 from the NEW Occasions Mini - you get 1 thing FREE from the $12 and under page in the Spring/Summer Idea Book & Catalogue (Page 208)? Order $100 worth of amazing product from the new mini and receive 2 FREE items from the under $12 page!

What are you waiting for?
Treat yourself to a new stamp set, some beautiful new Designer Paper, or maybe you're in the market for some fresh spring embellishments!

The sample shown today was one of the cards we made at my Stampers Club event this past Saturday! I used a layout and color scheme from a sample I saw on SCS and just made a few subtle changes... I really wanted to showcase one of the individual stamps available on the $12 and under page on this card so I chose to use the 'Elegant Thank You' stamp. I also changed the flower & the location of the butterfly! The butterfly image is from the 'Great Friend' stamp set in the Occasions mini, and we embossed the image using Cameo Coral craft ink + clear embossing powder to give it a more dramatic look! The Designer Paper used can also be found in the Occasions Mini and its called 'Walk In The Park'! The combination of Basic Grey and Going Grey is striking - I love this new paper!!
If you've thought about joining a Stampers Club... be sure to pop in tomorrow where I'll showcase another project we made this past Saturday and provide an update on my next club starting up in May!! Thanks for stopping by today!

Big Shot Butterflies!

I created this 6x6 scrapbook page as part of my HodgePodge 101 class display. I challenged myself to try to use 1 of each piece of the hardware kit on various projects including cards, 3D projects and scrapbook pages! I was really happy with how this page turned out!

I started with Summer Sun cardstock and layered on some 'Good Morning Sunshine' Designer Paper. Then I stamped the butterfly image from the new 'Great Friend' stamp set found in the Occasions Mini! I have no doubt that this stamp set will quickly become a stampin' favorite!!

I layered a bit of Chocolate Chip cardstock down as a matte for a future picture and added my Styled Silver HodgePodge frame with the month of May stamped in Chocolate Chip ink. The May image comes from the stamp set 'Full Calendar'.

Finally, I used my Big Shot 'Beautiful Butterflies Bigz' die, and more Good Morning Sunshine Designer Paper to create some butterflies to layer and complete my page. Before adhesing to my page, I added 2 brads from the Styled Silver HodgePodge kit to hold the 2 butterfly layers together and used Stampin' Dimensionals to pop them up on my page so that I can easily slide my picture beneath them as needed!

Thanks for stopping by today - feel free to leave a comment and let me know what you think of the projects this week!

Explosion Of Butterflies & My Big Shot Club!

As I build my collection of Big Shot Die's... I find myself 'playing' more with different ideas and projects! The possibilities for the Big Shot system are endless! It amazes me how easy the Big Shot makes all of the 3D projects I personally used to shy away from attempting!!
Not any more !!
Maybe the Big Shot has captured your interest? I bet you've seen hundreds (maybe thousands) of projects using the Big Shot splashed all over blogs, craft websites and in magazines!
If you think it's time to try the Big Shot out for yourself - you need to contact me about my next Big Shot Club! The club will focus on Big Shot / 3D projects every month and you'll have access to all of these events for FREE! You'll also end up with your very own Big Shot at the end of the club.
Yup - you heard me right! Email me at lisaburns@rogers.com for full club details!
The project I'm showing today is called an Explosion Box - and it isn't the first time you've seen one of these from me... I do enjoy making them! We made these boxes at our March Club event and I think the girls were surprised with how easy they were to make! For this explosion box, I used the SAB Designer Paper reward (Delicate Dots Designer Series Paper) for the lid and Sahara Sand cardstock for the base of the box. I used the coordinating SAB stamp set 'Polka Dot Punches' and Sahara Sand ink on the inside of the box.
To make the butterflies, I used the 'Beautiful Butterflies Bigz' Die with Bashful Blue cardstock. For the butterfly on the lid of the box, I stamped images using the 'Seeing Spots' stamp set and Bashful Blue ink. I used a piece from the Styled Siver HodgePodge Hardware Kit and added it to the core of the butterfly.
For the butterfly on the inside of the box, I stamped a saying using the 'Congrats' SAB reward set and then popped the image up using some Stampin' Dimensionals!
Come back tomorrow to see my 6x6 Scrapbook Page using the same Big Shot Butterfly Bigz Die!!

CASE'd From The Spring Summer Idea Book & Catalogue!

CASE = Copy And Share Everything!

One of the reasons the Stampin' Up! catalogue is called an 'Idea Book' is because it is packed with wonderful project ideas & inspiration - intended for COPYING! People often ask me where I get my inspiration for my projects and while I have a number of favorite places, the IB&C is at the top of that list!! When I'm running short of time (and/or creativity), I pop open my IB&C and find something I can create (or re-create :o) You can view the Spring/Summer IB&C online by visiting my business website OR you can contact me to get your very own book of inspiration!(lisaburns@rogers.com).

This card uses one of my favorite things lately...TEXTURED CARDSTOCK! If you haven't seen, or tried it yet... you must check it out! Textured cardstock is available in all 48 colors, plus the Neutrals & 'In Color' colors. It really is amazing to work with!

To recreate the card found on Page 98, I started with regular cardstock (Almost Amethyst) and layered on the same color, but textured cardstock and while this picture doesn't allow for the contrast to show - in person - you can see the effect!! I then used my Trio Flower Punch and the textured Almost Amethyst cardstock to add flowers to the card front and added a little dot to each flower using the Uni-Ball Signo Gel pen! The butterflies were made using the 'Flight Of The Butterfly' stamp set and just behind the butterflies is one of the frames from the set 'Frames with a Flourish'. I stamped the saying in White Craft ink but then added some Winter White Embossing Powder to the word to make them more defined on my card.

What project have you CASE'd from the Spring/Summer Idea Book & Catalogue?

Enjoy!
