September Scrappers Club Projects!

I'm so lucky to have 3 very different clubs running right now... A Holiday Club (that focuses on Christmas cards), a Stampers 6 Club (that focuses on a variety of stamping projects like cards, bags/boxes) and finally a Scrappers Club, where we focus on 2 - 12x12 scrapbook layouts each month! Each club has challenged me to think outside of my normal 'comfort zone' and that makes for such a wonderful experience for both my club members as well as myself because I'm learning new things each month along with my club girls!!

Today, I'm sharing the 12x12 Halloween layout I gave my Scrappers Club to work on this month! Each month, I provide a basic theme & layout and the girls use their own individual styles to complete their own pages! Shown above are my pages. Shown below are club member pages! Thanks again to Julie & Penny for allowing me to post their creative work publically, here on my blog!!

The idea of this layout was to make pockets for inserts of journalling and additional pictures! The girls loved the idea of the extra space!

Here's what Julie came up with!

Here's what Penny came up with!

Have a SUPER week everyone! Thanks for stopping by! I'll be back tomorrow with our Stampers 6 projects for September!

Sympathy cards are not always easy to make. A friend at work asked me to make her one last week...here's what I came up with. Twinkle Tuesday!

Revision to post (as of 930pm Tuesday)... 3 more tickets have now been sold. There are just 7 tickets left available for this event!

This is a bit of teaser for our upcoming fundraiser! On Saturday October 3rd, Rebecca & I will be holding our 2nd Annual Create For a Cure - Stamp Out Breast Cancer event, here in Dorchester! We are very, very excited to have so much of the planning for this event well under way - in fact, I would say that we are almost ORGANIZED!! Rebecca will laugh when she sees this *lol*

Anyhow... Last night was our official meeting to finalize our event projects and let me tell you - YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS EVENT!! It is going to be FANTASTIC! I can't wait!

The card I'm going to share with you today is sort of like my 'special project' for this event. Last year, I really wanted to create a PINK holiday card for the event as a tribute to our cause. The card was a big success, so we've decided to bring the concept back again this year. Now, this isn't actually the card you'll be making at the event - but it is one of my protypes created for my meeting with Rebecca last night! EVERY card at this event has been carefully considered only a chosen few have made the cut *lol*

If you'd like more information on our event - please contact me at lisaburns@rogers.com. We have 30 tickets sold and only 10 more available so don't delay - ACT NOW!

Have a great Tuesday everyone!!

What a busy week...

I expected the first week of school to be busy but what I didn't expect was hockey getting moved up an hour each day (making me the single-chauffeur responsible for getting there on time), and the flu-bug to hit our house! The only good thing about Evan being sick most of the weekend was that our busy weekend schedule was significantly reduced to nothing to allow my little monkey to recover! Although I was sad that I couldn't meet with my Club Gals on Saturday :o( I'll see you next weekend ladies!!

Today I wanted to share 2 of the samples I've created for my September 26th Fall Birthday & Thank You Stamp-A-Stack! If you are in need of some cards for the upcoming season...this class is for you! Registration will be open until Sept 21st only!

I love the card with 'belated birthday' wishes... I seem to always need a bunch of these throughout the year! I'll be the first to admit that I'm not very good with keeping up with the calendar in this regard!!

Guests will get to make 10 cards with coordinating envelopes! All supplies are provided, and materials precut for you however guests MUST bring their own Snail Adhesive or comprable tape runner to keep the class timing on track! Contact me ASAP if you are interested in this event and need a snail runner or refill!

Cost of the event is $20 with a $15 credit toward an order placed at the conclusion of the class! 10 cards for just $5!!! What a steal!!
Have a great day everyone - thanks for stopping by!

Twinkle Tuesday & Back To School!

I'm starting to understand WHY parents LOVE this day... 1st Day Back To School!

As much as we've really enjoyed a busy summer of camps & FUN - it's definitely time to get back to a regular routine and get the brain thinking about something other than waterslides and campfires!

My Twinkle Tuesday project this week is another one of my favorites from past years! Can you tell that I am reluctant to share many of my new projects at this point as they will all be part of my upcoming clubs/classes and events! I will share them as soon as I possibly can WITHOUT ruining the surprise for my event guests :o)

This card uses the stamp set Season Of Joy and it is a very, very popular choice amongst stampers because it is so versatile and easy to use! I combined the colors Real Red with Old Olive and Very Vanilla. I also did a lot of cutting for this card! My favorite part of the card however is the Chunky Essentials Glitter in the flower centers! So much fun!
Enjoy your Holiday sample today!
