Guess What? More Pastels!

Can you tell I'm excited about my Pastels Class :o) If you like what you've been seeing and think you might want to attend - email me at lisaburns@roger.com to get full class details! I don't think my camera captures this card very well... the pastel effect is really subtle
Also thought I would share a few pics of Evan enjoying the melting snow today. Every 4 yr old boy is going to make the best of every messy situation and this was no exception. Check out how much FUN he was having in the water/ice - and the best part - they don't even seem to feel the cold! I was a bit chilled out there taking pictures of him and he barely noticed the temperature even when he was soaking wet!! Too funny!! Thank goodness for splash pants!
Have a great night everyone!

Pastels are like a box of chocolate...

Once you open them you don't want to easily close them up!

Here's another sample as I continue to prepare for my April 21st Pastels class! I will be showcasing this class at the Western Fair Craft Show this coming weekend so if you want to attend, you should sign up before this coming weekend, otherwise there may not be any space left!
Have a great Monday! Email me at lisaburns@rogers.com to reserve your spot!

Pastels Class - Thursday April 10, 2008

Happy Saturday Everyone!

Wanted to share just 1 of the projects we'll be making at my upcoming Pastels Class (Thurs April 10th). There are some spots open so if you'd like to attend, contact me at lisaburns@rogers.com for full details!

We'll be making a number of projects using the Pastels as well as learning some cool techniques! I'm waiting on my 'Spring Fling' designer paper so this card may look a bit different at the class but the concept will remain the same. I got the card layout idea from 'Moments In The Making' but changed all of the colours up.

I thought it would be fun to post something using the Wild Wasabi cardstock for all those ladies that have taken advantage of the Wild Wasabi pre-cut cardstock promo!!!

If you haven't taken advantage of this deal yet, but you're interested, email me for more details.

DH has his hockey playoffs this weekend so aside from his dinner banquet, I may get a bit of time in my special space - if so, I'll be back with more posts!

Enjoy the sun everyone!

Stamp-A-Stack This Friday Night

Found an unexpected opening in your calendar? Why not join me for a night of stamping!

Stamp-A-Stack's (SAS's) are a great way to make a bunch of cards in a short amount of time to have on hand for those 'last minute' occasions or for those 'opps I forgot' moments. All of the projects are pre-cut and ready to be assembled so all of the guesswork has been done for you - plus you can choose from a variety of sayings to suit any occasion!

Here's just one of the samples we'll be making on Friday night. Guests will get to make 8 cards altogether (2 of which will be this card)!
Contact me at lisaburns@rogers.com if you'd like to reserve your spot!
Thanks for checking in tonight!

Gift Ideas & Mom's Day Class + My Team Meeting Tonight

Hi There Bloggers!
I'm very, very excited to share just one of the samples for my upcoming 'Gift Ideas & Mom's Day' Class coming up on Monday April 21, 2008. If you are on my customer distribution list, you received the class details last Friday but I promised some photos....so here it goes. If you are not on my customer mailing list, but are interested in attending - you can contact me at
lisaburns@rogers.com for more details:
The boxes above will hold 4 - 3x3 cards plus envelopes - all of which you'll make at this class. Plus 2 full sized cards for Mother's Day (or another occasion if you prefer).

Tonight I held my monthly team meeting, so I decided to show the girlies how to make this FUN card box! I changed the paper to Le Jardin and altered the front from jumbo eyelets to buttons and I think they liked it.
Girls - if you are out there... leave a comment so that everyone will know how easy the box was to make. Don't hold back :o)
Rebecca, Becca, Karen B and Karen B - I'm so glad you could make it tonight. I really enjoy our time together and can't wait to start thinking about April!! Have a great night everyone!

Happy 35th Barry!

We attended a 35th 'almost' surprise birthday for our friend Barry last night! It was so nice to get out and do some adult socialization while Evan enjoyed some time with Grandma & Grandpa!

Thought I would share 3 pics today... First -Barry's Bday Card! What a great party last night!

The 2nd pics are non-stamping related but funny (I think :o) I found these awesome and 'oh-so-appropriate-for-a-preschool-boy' t's at Bonnie Toggs last weekend:

Finally, one more non-stamping relating funny... We had Grandma & Grandpa over last night to babysit Evan while we were celebrating with friends and when we got home, we got the usual recap of the night. As my Mom is telling me about the events of the night, she says:

"Oh yes, and I think I will need to get you a new one of these..." and she hands me this:

So, apparently she is able to leave her microwave cover in when its in use at home so she didn't bother to take ours out to make Evan popcorn for his movie!! While the microwave cover didn't make it... the popcorn was delicious (so they all said)!!

Well, I'm off to do some Easter shopping today and hopefully hit my craft room this afternoon & evening so I may be back with another post! See you then!
