A Little Birdie
Hummm...the colour seems to be way off on my camera as both of these samples are made using Almost Amethyst!
The sample above also uses the new stamp set 'Celebrate Everything' and Rub-Ons (Eastern Elegance)! How cool are these! If you've never used Rub-ons before, you have to try them. You can basically get the same effect as stamping with ink but without the ink or the stamp! The best part about Rub-ons is that you can put images in places you've never been able to stamp before... like rounded surfaces or surfaces other than paper! They are too cool so you know I will be getting 1 of each of the new packages available in the Spring/Summer Collection :o)
This card uses the new 'A Little Birdie Told Me' stamp set. Really, really cute set - easy to use and perfect for all sorts of occasions AND it comes with sayings so you get twice the value out of this set!
Stamps: A Little Birdie Told Me
Cardstock: Almost Amethyst, Whisper White, Designer Series Prints, Basic Black
Ink: Basic Black, Close To Cocoa & Stampin' Write Markers (So Saffron, Only Orange, Close To Cocoa)
Accessories: Sponges, 3/4 inch circle punch,
Ramping Up For The NEW Spring/Summer Collection
Stamps: Embrace Life, Mark The Date, Saying from Nursery Necessities
Cardstock: So Saffron, Barely Banana, Very Vanilla, Designer Series Paper
Ink: Mellow Moss, So Saffron, Barely Banana
Accessories: 1/4 inch circle punch, Ticket Corner punch, Glue Dots
And onto Spring...uhhh. It is nice to change the pace a bit, back to soft & bright colours - flowers and pretty things. But I will miss my Holiday projects a bit too!
Here are a few samples I created using some of my new stamp sets & accessories from the Spring/Summer Preview Mini catalogue. You'll want to view this one online as there will be an opportunity for you to earn ANY stamp set from this preview mini absolutely FREE in January!!
I'll try to get it posted to the side-bar panel of my Blog but for now - here's the link and my samples. Let me know what you think!

A Cute Letter To Santa
I saw this on another Blog and thought it was so cute - wanted to share with all the Mom's out there!
A cute letter to Santa
Dear Santa,I've been a good mom all year. I've fed, cleaned and cuddled my children on demand, visited the doctor's office more than my doctor and sold sixty-two cases of candy bars to raise money to plant a shade tree on the school playground.
I was hoping you could spread my list out over several Christmases, since I had to write this letter with my son's red crayon, on the back of a receipt in the laundry room between cycles, and who knows when I'll find anymore free time in the next 18 years.
Here are my Christmas wishes:
I'd like a pair of legs that don't ache (in any color, except purple, which I already have) and arms that don't hurt or flap in the breeze, but are strong enough to pull my screaming child out of the candy aisle in the grocery store.
I'd also like a waist, since I lost mine somewhere in the seventh month of my last pregnancy.
If you're hauling big ticket items this year I'd like fingerprint resistant windows and a radio that only plays adult music, a television that doesn't broadcast any programs containing talking animals, and a refrigerator with a secret compartment behind the crisper where I can hide to talk on the phone.
On the practical side, I could use a talking doll that says, "Yes, Mommy" to boost my parental confidence, along with five kids who don't fight and three pairs of jeans that will zip all the way up without the use of power tools.
I could also use a recording of Tibetan monks chanting "Don't eat in the living room" and "Take your hands off your brother," because my voice seems to be just out of my children's hearing range and can only be heard by the dog.
If it's too late to find any of these products, I'd settle for enough time to brush my teeth and comb my hair in the same morning, or the luxury of eating food warmer than room temperature without it being served in a Styrofoam container.
If you don't mind, I could also use a few Christmas miracles to brighten the holiday season. Would it be too much trouble to declare ketchup a vegetable? It will clear my conscience immensely. It would be helpful if you could coerce my children to help around the house without demanding payment as if they were the bosses of an organized crime family.
Well, Santa, the buzzer on the dryer is calling and my son saw my feet under the laundry room door. I think he wants his crayon back. Have a safe trip and remember to leave your wet boots by the door and come in and dry off so you don't catch cold. Help yourself to cookies on the table but don't eat too many or leave crumbs on the carpet.
Yours Always, MOM
P.S. One more thing...you can cancel all my requests if you can keep my children young enough to believe in Santa.

New Spring/Summer Collection - NEW PRICING!
I have many updates to share with you regarding the exciting launch of the new Spring/Summer Collection catalogue! Where to start, where to start??
Since $$ is on everyone's mind at this time of the year (watching your hard-earned dollar so quickly leave your wallet seemingly every 5 mins) I have some GREAT NEWS to share with all of you!
We've all heard about Canadian pricing coming down in almost every sector of retail... well, Stampin' Up! is committed to reviewing their pricing as each new catalogue is released. They look at several factors to determine pricing including competitive analysis and the value of the good ole' Canadian loonie! You're going to find that the new Spring/Summer Collection catalogue has LOWER PRICES printed in the catalogue - launching January 2, 2008!
BUT, that's not all...
Stampin' Up! is happy to announce that the prices in the Spring-Summer Collection 2008 are going down even further! With further evaluation of current circumstances, they have decided that the pricing warrants a further reduction of 7%! How very exciting!!
Unfortunately, the timing required to determine the catalogue pricing meant that this additional reduction was not ready in time for printing, so the prices listed in the Spring-Summer 2008 Collection, as well as the upcoming Occasions 2008 Mini Collection will be inaccurate.
The pricing adjustment will be valid for the full cycle of the catalogue, including the upcoming mini, so to help with this new pricing structure, I will provide you with a price conversion sheet that you can keep with your catalogue. I will post an announcement when this list is available.
With the adjustments in Canadian pricing, many other factors have been considered:
Starter Kit: The price of the starter kit will remain at the new, lower price of $260, as printed in the new catalogue, so a further 7% reduction will not apply. The kit remains a fantastic value.
Hostess Benefits Plan: There will be one change to the hostess benefits chart, effective until June 30, 2008. The current level for a hostess to qualify for benefits is $225, and SU! has dropped this amount to $200! All other levels and details will remain the same. With the lower pricing, when you (as a hostess) reach your hostess benefits levels, your free product dollars will now go further than before!
Another update I wanted to provide was the status of the New Spring/Summer Collection Catalogues...
I'm so thrilled to tell you that I very well may receive my shipment of preordered catalogues earlier than expected! If they arrive when Canada Post indicates they should be here, they will be arriving on Monday Dec 24th MERRY CHRISTMAS TO US! IF, they do arrive on this date, I would like to have my New Catalogue Launch on December 27th so stay tuned for more details on this event to be posted shortly.
Thanks for stopping by today - especially since there was such good news to share :o)

Last Minute Holiday Cards
I've run out of the stack of Holiday cards I had pre-made during the months leading up to December so I sat down today to make a few more. Here are the cards I made using some non-SU! supplies (Rudolph and the Tree card) and one using Snowflake Spot - thankfully NOT retiring this year...whew!
I used textured paper on all 3 cards - here's hoping we can get textured cardstock in 8 1/2 x 11 in the upcoming Spring/Summer Collection! It has been a big hit and is a really hot product right now in stamping & scrapbooking!
With so much WHITE outside right now, I found it kinda funny that I gravitated to 'GREEN' with my cards today. Hopefully the snow will stick around for Christmas!
Thanks for stopping by today. I'll be back tomorrow AM with an updated retiring list and more cards samples throughout the week!

Wrapping Paper! WOW!
So, I've been fortunate tonight to have some 'alone' time - and have the house all to myself! And although I was very, VERY tempted to sit down in my craft room and stamp the night away - I challenged myself to get some gift wrapping done early this year! And wrapping I've done - so much so that I'm almost done wrapping everything I've purchased this year!!
I have to admit that I hadn't splurged in past years and bought really fancy wrapping paper but when I saw how beautiful our Designer Wrapping Paper was for the holidays this year - I decided to try it out. Have to say... I'm SO TOTALLY IMPRESSED WITH IT! The quality IS miles above regular wrapping paper - no worries about tearing or black ink coming off on your hands or your gifts! TIP - If you've bought some SU! Designer Paper this year, use your bone folder to create clean, crisp folds - works like a charm! I also used the coordinating Wide Satin Ribbon SU! offered in the Holiday Mini in both Purely Pomegrante and Chocolate Chip. I really, really hope they come out with more of this ribbon in the new Spring/Summer Collection in some pretty pastel colors!
Now... you can no longer buy the Designer Wrapping Paper from Stampin' Up! as the Holiday Mini expired November 30th but if it comes out again I would definitely recommend trying it. Here are a few shots of my 'teacher, bus driver and daycare provider' gifts, wrapped using the Purely Holiday paper. I still need to do the tags and coordinating cards of course... but its a start!

I'm giving away a FREE Hostess Set! Maybe More!
For every order, between now and December 24th, you will receive a ballot for this awesome Level 1 Hostess Exclusive stamp set "So Many Sayings"! I will raffle this off ballot style on December 25th (Christmas Day).
Here's how you can earn a ballot - every order will earn at least 1 ballot. The more you order, the more ballots you earn. Since many of you are considering ordering some of the retiring sets anyway - this is really a bonus for you! I will give away this set no matter how many orders I receive so in other words, if I only receive 1 order from 1 person - they will win this set! BUT, if I receive $225 in total orders, I will add another free Level 1 Hostess Set. If I receive $450 in orders I will offer up a this stamp set plus a choice of another Level 1 or a Level 2 stamp set!
Ballot System - order totals are considered pre-shipping, pre-tax amount
Up to $25.00 = 1 ballot
$25.01 - $50.00 = 2 ballots
$50.01 - $75.00 = 3 ballots
All orders over $75.01 will receive 5 ballots for the free stamp sets!

It's been awhile since I posted an actual sample so I thought I would show you a few of the cards I completed tonight!
I recently purchased the set 'Hung Up On The Holidays' which is retiring as of December 31st and I'm sooo very glad that I got it before it goes for good! This set is perfect for the beginner stamper or the advanced stamper and with so many ideas posted online - you are sure to find many uses for it!
All the cards were inspired by Jen70 on SCS - I put a slightly different twist on them. Here are the recipes:

RETIREMENT LIST is here!
When Stampin' Up! announced that we would be moving to a 2-catalogue per year format I will thrilled, a little nervous about my wish list growing bigger, but nonetheless THRILLED!
Today marks the first retirement list for this year - the Fall Winter Collection catalogue will expire December 31st so SU! has now released the list of stamp sets that will not be available after December 31st 2007. The Retiring Acccessory list is due out mid-December.
Take a look through the list and contact me if you wish to order any of the stamp sets before they are no longer available. Orders placed before December 10th are guaranteed to be here before Christmas. Orders placed until December 13th have a good chance of being here before Christmas, but unfortunately no guarantee as we have to rely on UPS capacity.
Click here to view the retiring list by page number
Click here to view the dormant list of stamp sets - meaning they are still available but they won't be physically shown in the Spring/Summer Collection or Mini's.
