LAST CALL for SALE-A-BRATION Rewards!

Today's the day... SALE-A-BRATION ends today and while I'm sad to see it go again for another year, I'm thrilled that so many of you managed to take advantage of the rewards by ordering, hosting a party, or treating yourself to the Starter Kit (in some cases all three :o) lol!

Please be sure to let me know if you need any assistance with project ideas using your new SAB rewards! I'm here to help and I'll continue to show some additional project ideas for the next month or so to help!
The card project I'm showing today is one that I demo'd with some work-friends last week using the SAB reward Polka Dot Punches, and the coordinating Polka Dot Designer Series Paper! This card also allowed the participants to use a variety of SU! punches including the Eyelet Border Punch, the 1 & 3/4 Circle Punch and the 5-Petal Flower Punch!
What a FUN lunch-hour ladies!!
Here's a guarded piece of info...this card is one of the projects my Stamp-A-Stack guests will make Tuesday night!

Last Call for HodgePodge 101 or SAS Participants!

There's still a small window of opportunity left to get in on this class... I have just 2 spots left for either the HodgePodge portion of the class, or the 5 for $5 stamp-a-stack!

Here are the projects we'll be making as part of the HodgePodge Class! This class is JUST $5! It's a great value for any level of crafter! I will be teaching you how to make both projects, showing you a number of other projects using HodgePodge pieces as well as providing helpful tips on usage of these fun little embellishments! Guests will get to make both projects, which will be pre-cut and waiting for assembly by you! Candy & envelopes also provided!!

Come on out and enjoy some fun stamping time!

Regionally Inspired!

At the London SU! Regionals, a sample was shown using the large flower from the Pretties Kit, some ink and some sponge daubers - I loved the look this created!

While I often use the color Ruby Red, the other 2 colors that compliment this card are not frequent choices of mine... but I was so happy with the outcome of this card that I think I'll need to start using them together more often!

The card base is Ruby Red. The next layer is Barely Banana and the Designer Paper is from the Good Morning Sunshine DSP pack. The large flower comes as part of the Pretties Kit and includes other embellishments that coordinate to make your project perfect - including Clear Rhinestone Brads (also used on this project). Clear Rhinestones Brads are also now sold separately - in their own container of approximately 84!

I've also used a SALE-A-BRATION reward on this card - a stamp set called Congrats! I've really enjoyed this stamp set and have used it on so many projects over the last 2 months! You still have time to get your SAB reward..but hurry...my last SAB order is going in at noon on Tuesday March 31st!

Email me at lisaburns@rogers.com or visit my online store at www.lisaburns.stampinup.net! to shop from the convenience of your own home!!

Take Care!

SALE-A-BRATION is winding down...

So, I'm thinking I will have a bit more time to share some of the projects I've been working on lately!

Here's a project I demonstrated at both Donna & Tracy's home parties last weekend! This is a super-easy treat bag to make and was one of the projects we got to make at our recent Stampin' Up! Regional event held locally, in London!

I changed the project slightly by stamping a different image on the outter part of the bag (using Fifth Avenue Floral) and instead of using the Big Shot to produce the flower as the bag's focal point - I decided to use the Flower Fusion 2 (felt flowers). The best part of any treat bag is what's inside...CHOCOLATE!

It has been a terrific couple of months in the Stampin' Up! world and I'm very, very excited to welcome 4 new team members to our family of stampers!!

Linda

Tracy

Donna

Leigh Ann

I'm so excited that each of them have made such a wise decision to take advantage of the amazing Starter Kit promotion that SU! has on right now and to position themselves with so much opportunity to learn more about SU!, build up their stampin' supplies and to become part of our family of craftin' friends! Welcome ladies!

SALE-A-BRATION is almost over...but there is still time to sign up with Stampin' Up! before March 31st 2009 and get the fantastic Starter Kit deal all for yourself! The Kit is 15% off its regular price + Stampin' Up! will let YOU pick out an extra stamp set - TOTALLY FREE and TOTALLY YOUR CHOICE valued up to $56.95!

Why not treat yourself to 50% off a ton of SU! products and give yourself an opportunity to earn some extra cash (or more free product for the addicts reading this :o) lol! You can order the Starter Kit by heading on over to my business website and using my password (Lisa Burns) to get this deal before its gone! All SALE-A-BRATION promotions end March 31, 2009!

Be back tomorrow with more samples from recent workshop/classes as well as some for my upcoming April class schedule! Thanks for stopping by today!

London Regionals - Pictures!!

Sarah & Inge Penny & Lisa

Tracy & Marg! Linda, Lisa & Rebecca!
Maureen! Linda from Stampin' Up!

Stamping Time! Big Shot Projects!

It was so great to attend my 4th Stampin' Up! Regional yesterday in London, Ontario! It was amazing to have the event so close to home this year with no travelling or hotel costs etc. I've loved each one of the events I've attended - so there was no question I would go again this year :o)
As an extra special treat - I had 4 friends join myself and team for the day and had a fabulous time stamping, learning and laughing! It was a Regional to remember, that's for sure! I have taken away a ton of new ideas that I plan to share over the coming months so even if you couldn't make the event this year, you'll be getting a pretty good idea of some of the projects we made, or learned about yesterday!

Enjoy the pictures! I'll share the projects pictures with you over the next few days!

Where would our kids be without coaches?

From personal experience, I can tell you many stories about how certain coaches over the years have influenced the person I am today! When you really think about it - coaches not only teach you skills & techniques in various activities - they instill values that can often last a lifetime!

That said, I already had a very deep respect for coaches in general. But now as I see my son grow and explore the world by getting involved in various activities and sport, I am beginning to see the influence his coaches have had on him! For these reasons, I think it is so important that we continually show our support and appreciation to these men & women that give up their time to guide our kids. We should thank them for spending time strengthening our children's minds & bodies and energize their little spirits to excel in whatever they set their minds to doing!

I created this 5x5 Journal book for our Dorchester Jr Tyke's coach Mike Cormier! Mike represents everything we love about hockey in Canada... respect for the sport, players and the rules. He has more energy than most of the 5 year olds he coaches, and makes sure that the kids understand that amoungst all of the hype with this all-Canadian game - it can and should be FUN for our kids!
As much as I hope he likes the look of the book, the real meaning of our messages to Mike are found on the pages within - in the words and sentiments of families that appreciate all that Mike (as well as his assistant coaches) have done for our kids. Just imagine a community without coaches! Take time to thank one today :o)

Can't get enough...

When I find something I really enjoy making, I make a lot of it! We're just days away from our next PERFECT PARTY and the countdown is on! I likely won't have too much more free time to create much more in the way of projects, so I'm going to focus now on what my display will contain, as well as what retired items and shares to bring to offer up for sale!
If you've atteneded a Surplus Sale of mine in the past, or if you planned to attend one but ended up missing it - you may want to stop by the Knights of Columbus in St.Thomas this coming Saturday (1-4pm). I will have some (not all) of my retired stamp sets and other goodies up for grabs!
Hope to see you there!

SALE-A-BRATION!

Sale-A-Bration continues until March 31, 2009 and March is already shaping up to be a very BUSY month! With events, home workshop options and classes - there are plenty of opportunities to celebration Stampin' Up! best promotion of the year!
Treat Yourself!

I've had many, many conversations with lots of you regarding the current economic situation and how closely everyone is watching their money! I hear that - and with a husband that works in the automotive sector, I too am watching our situation very closely!

But here's the thing... You shouldn't have to STOP living during these times! Now, more than ever, we need to find things to do that are cost effective and FUN to help get us through day-to-day! My recommendation to those I've had a chance to talk with directly, has been to find ways to maximize the stamping & scrapbooking supplies you already have! You don't need to be 'adding' to your collection of supplies if this isn't the right time to be buying!

Check out my March classes - specifically designed, for the most part, to allow class attendance without the need to buy more product! Classes are priced affordably (usually around $5-$10) to cover my supply costs & time to run them so these are amazing opportunities for you to come out, learn some new ways to use what you already have and enjoy some social stamping time!!

Another Perfect Party Project

Happy Monday Morning to you all! Nice to see the sun out there already this AM... still really cold but I love seeing the sun to start the work week!

I love making these Double-Pouch purses (as I'm sure you figured out if you attended my February classes as I had a ton of them on the go for Valentine's Day :o) This project is perfect for our PERFECT PARTY event this coming Saturday as they would make a wonderful gift for someone, or the type of project you yourself could take to work to have a few cards on hand for those emergencies! Each purse contains 2 coordinating cards and envelopes. Here's what the cards look like...

One pouch purse has 2 of these card styles:

And the other pouch purse has 2 of these card styles:

Supplies used include Ginger Blossom Designer Paper (retired), layered on Very Vanilla cardstock. For both purse pouches, I decided to use Rub Ons to decorate the purse fronts! I also used some retired ribbon (River Rock double-stitched) and some Wide Chocolate Chip Grosgrain - still available for purchase (yey)! All cards are decorated on the inside with versatile sayings or images.

Have a great start to your week! I'll be back tomorrow with more Perfect Party samples to share!
