What A Day!

And it's not over yet...but I had to post a quick update about the Stampin' Up! Regionals I attended today! I know many of you were disappointed that you couldn't attend (the event filled up therefore no guest tickets were made available :o(

BUT

I want you to know that I have no shortage of information to share and I plan to do that everyday for the next week or so! At least that is my goal anyway :o)

I have some updates, some surprises, some new classes, some new opportunities... the list goes on! Regionals are not new for me - this was my 5th Regional event since joining Stampin' Up! - but it amazes me how much of an impact each one has had on me & ultimately my creativity and business!

I just feel like I got the boost I needed today to set some new goals and try a few new things! I can't wait to share these all of this with you!

September Holiday Club Cards - Post 2

Here are the other 2 cards my club gals made this month. The color combination was a bit of a stretch for me. Vintage is not really my comfort zone but it's really hot in the crafting world right now so I'm trying ... :o)

I do like how these cards use a color combination that might not be considered typical for Christmas - Cajun Craze, Not Quite Navy & Crumb Cake. Gives them that unique feel.

These cards allowed the girls to play around with the Eyelet Border Punch, some of the new Vintage Ribbon and Designer Buttons, as well as the new Champagne Glass Glitter from the Holiday Mini!

September Holiday Club Projects!

September is just flying by and I'm having some trouble balancing everything again so as mentioned in the past ...the blog posting is one of the first things I have to drop so that I can focus on my classes / clubs and customers (and of course my work & family too)!

I think I'm getting things back to normal now... Almost caught up from summer vacation at work, Evan's settled at school, my craft room is back to a functional state and Fall sports have begun! Yup - that sounds about normal :o)

Ok, onto some projects! Today I'm sharing two of the 4 cards we made at this month's Holiday Club events! I love this card, particularly because it's simple, but stunning! I found inspiration for this card on our demonstrator gallery 'Stampin' Connection'. Melanie Kiechle's card was made with just 1 color of cardstock plus the vellum - which looked stunning - but I chose to add a color so that I was working the combination of Real Red, Marina Mist & Certainly Celery!

These cards also allowed the gals to try out the new Impression Folder 'Northern Flurry'! Don't forget that this folder will be a part of my upcoming Impressions Preorder Class (Sept 30th). You can find out more about this class by clicking here!

Finally, everyone agreed that these cards, and in particular the snowflakes created with the Impression Folders would not be complete without some embellishing! The girls were invited to bling up their cards with either the Rhinestones or the Pearls! Fun, fun, fun!

Craft Studio Reno Pictures!

What a sneaky way to find out who's out there!! I'm so excited to get settled into my new space... just wish I had a bit more free time this week. Back to school, busy week with work = not much free time :o(

Here's the one side of my studio wall being prepped for the install

Here's all of the cabinets being brought into my studio in anticipation of the installers arrival... lots of heavy lifting here !

The installers were nice enough to let me sneak down for the occasional picture or two while they were working ...however, they conveniently left the room for tools while I was taking them. I guess they were a little photo-shy! In this photo, the cabinets are about 3/4 installed.

Here they were making some serious progress... the cabinets were all up on the wall and they were working on the counter-top and prepping the cabinet doors!

Reno Update!

Phase 1 is just about complete!

The cabinets have been installed and I've loaded them up, rearranging my supplies and making it much more conducive for classes & events! I'm so happy with the installation - Home Depot & Installations Plus did a fabulous job with this project! Although it was a bit rocky during the 'planning' stage with Home Depot, they really came through and exceeded my expectations!

Ralph & his partner from Installation Plus were fantastic... detailed, courteous, quick (and on time for the installation !) and they left my craft room practically spotless, cleaning and bagging all garbage from the installation. I was so impressed! They completed their work in a 1/2 a day - which left me plenty of time to begin 'moving' back in!
